Mission Statement 

The Multicultural Achievement Department is a holistic, collaborative educational support function of Columbia Public Schools (CPS). Through the Multicultural Achievement Committee (MAC), MAC partners with students, guardians, educators, schools, and community members to provide the skills, resources, relationships, and support students need to succeed academically, emotionally, and socially.

Our work is grounded in three core values: Achievement, Enrichment and Opportunity.

We are committed to creating welcoming, respectful, and accessible learning environments where all are welcome, every student is valued, and every student can achieve. We encourage students to take ownership of their education, develop a personal commitment to achievement, build strong support networks, and take advantage of opportunities that expand their knowledge, skills, experiences, and future possibilities.

Through mentorship, collaboration, enrichment experiences, academic support, encouragement, and recognition of student accomplishments, MAC works to help every student achieve, access meaningful opportunities, and become enriched through learning and experience.
