The Hickman High School Marching Band
The Hickman High School Marching Band is a completely voluntary ensemble, comprised of students that are involved within the Hickman Instrumental Music Department. The Color Guard is open to non-instrumentalists and is selected by audition in the spring.The marching band holds a 2-week band camp in the summer, along with one Saturday morning camp early in the school year. During the school year the marching band rehearses every other morning before school as a full ensemble, and once a week in the evenings. Sectionals for "winds" take place one morning a week before school. The Drumline and Color Guard have an additional sectional once a week in the evenings.
The Hickman Marching Band performs at all home football games and attends 4-5 marching festivals a year. They also march in the annual Columbia seasonal Parades.
